Project title: THE FOLLOWING

The idea: We all had to do different ideas for our poster but i wanted a poster that seemed old fashioned and iconic.

 The research you undertook: My first real inspiration was the Rocky poster , i really liked the bold lettering as it stood out and seemed iconic.

Target Audience: The target audince for my film was 15 years old. so this meant i added in explosions to make it catch an eye.

The final selected design solution: I wanted to make my poster look old,vinatge and cool looking. This is because the most iconic posters are not only old but basic. i wanted my poster to look cool.

Design layout: i used grid layouts to lay out my poster, it means you can structure your poster easier.

The project is designed for 15 years and above as the film contains scenes of violence, i also believe that this age group will be more interested in our film as younger children might not be so interested, due to the strange story.

I decided to use colour and explosions, as to me it makes the whole poster look more interesting.
When designing my poster i only ended up using two images and a couple of text files to create the entire poster. The reason for this is i wanted it to look like a simple and clean product without getting to messy with multiple images. Our group names were placed at the bottom off the page and the title was written in a kind of 'creepy' font style with a big size to help it stand out and catch eyes to draw people in.

I think looks cool. Yes at this stage of the course I should be doing what I want to do but the best mindset to have is to make sure the viewers that the target market you have chose will like it . Not just what you like it . However I really enjoyed making this poster. I edited the the gaps out and put fire behind it so it looked like I just walked away from an explosion like some cool action man. And have people below me jumping out the way . It makes the viewers look at it more because a plain picture of me would just be plain boring . I didn’t want it to have loads of colour other wise it doesn’t make the title stand out . So having a plain bold title makes it seem eerie and makes the viewers want to watch it because it doesn’t show the whole film . Let’s be honest the alien poster is plain with just an egg cracking , but it’s cool and make me want to watch it. Whereas posters such as guardian of the galaxy have to much going on . I didn’t want  that.
